elseco appoints Dermot Dick as Special Advisor to CEO on operational and strategic matters

elseco, the high-tech specialty underwriting platform, bolsters its management team by appointing Dermot Patrick Dick as Special Advisor to the company CEO & Founder Laurent Lemaire. With immediate effect Dermot will assist Laurent in addressing industry challenges, during these uncertain times, and identifying growth and innovation opportunities as the insurance industry continues to go through profound transformation.

Dermot has worked in the insurance market for over 35 years, both in the London company market and Lloyd's and also in the Middle East, having successfully built two start-up businesses at Q-Re and Emirates International.

With significant line-class experience in Marine, Energy, Aviation and most shorttail Property and Casualty lines as a Facultative and Treaty underwriter, Dermot has extensive Management experience and is a well-known and respected figure in the MENA and Asian markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Laurent Lemaire, Founder & CEO of elseco, said: “Dermot knows us well having been a supporting pool Member since 2007 at Q-Re and then at Emirates International.
